The Cool Ruler is Jamaican singer songwriter Gregory Isaacs. 
He has of course been a household name for decades, and these recordings show why. 
Perfectly crafted songs and precise rhythm construction by the TAXI GANG at Channel One Studio. 

Each song drifts seamlessly into percussive dubs with subtle sonic landscapes sculpted by the engineers Maxie & Ernest Hookim at the mixing board. 
Originally released in 1980 this 2021 reissue is now available on Vinyl LP and CD Digipak.
